Gerber’s – Chicken Raised in Our Own Backyard
Gerber’s Poultry is located in the heart of the Ohio’s Amish Country. Their chickens are raised on Amish family farms and have plenty of room to roam.
At Gerber’s it’s all about raising and feeding our chickens the right way, the natural way. Chickens are fed an all vegetarian diet with:
- NO antibiotics ever
- NO animal or bakery by-products
- NO arsenic
- NO growth stimulants or hormones
Better feed means better flavor.
That’s Gerber’s position.
Gerber’s is a Family Business
Gerber Poultry has been raising chickens since 1952. The business has grow and evolved and now includes a processing and packing plant.
Fresh clean chicken with a natural great taste has always been the standard for the Gerber family. “Quality worth crowing about” was the family’s first motto.
The second and third generations continue the family business – maintaining the same high standards that Gerber’s is known for.

Buehler’s customers know that Gerber’s Chickens meet high standards for quality and taste. Gerber’s begins with a selected breed of chicks hatched at their own hatchery. The processing plant uses processes that produce wholesome clean chicken that is produced according to all USDA food safety standards.
Gerber’s carefully packages their chicken in film wrapped trays. The processing areas, storage coolers and shipping trucks are always monitored for proper refrigeration temperatures to guarantee that you will get the freshest chicken possible.
And when Gerber’s Chicken arrives at Buehler’s it is carefully displayed in coolers in our Meat Department for our customers.
