Head chefs representing five of Buehler’s Fresh Foods locations will compete for the title “Top Smokehouse Chef” at Buehler’s Smokehouse Cook-off on Saturday, July 26, 2014 from noon to 4:00 p.m. The event will take place in Buehler’s Wooster Milltown parking lot at 3540 Burbank Road, the north-end of Wooster, Ohio.

Attendees will graze, taste and enjoy smokehouse foods from five chef’s stations, then vote for their favorite. The winning chef’s recipes will be available for purchase at Buehler’s locations for all customers to enjoy. And in addition, the winning chef will get bragging rights for a year! Tickets will be available at the event for $5 adults and $3 children 12 and under.

“We want to invite the Wayne County area to a fun afternoon of tasting unique, delicious foods,” stated Mike Merritt, Buehler’s Executive Chef – Director Prepared Foods. “Our chefs have been perfecting their smoked food entries, and attendees are in for a special treat!”

• Chef Steve Dunfee: Smoked Pulled Pork Fatty, Smoked Balsamic Vegetable Medley

• Chef Adam Smith: Smoked Bacon-Wrapped Caramelized Onion Meatloaf, Smoked Warm Potato Salad

• Chef Aaron Gnap: Chili Garlic Pulled BBW Beef with Peanut Coleslaw on a Swiss Mountain Slider,

        Smoked Corn on the Cob with Parmesan Butter

• Chef LuAnn Keith: Smoked Sausage Fatty, Smoked Corn on the Cob, Smoked Peach Cobbler

• Chef Mike Teter: Korean Cherry Hoison Western Style Ribs, Asian Style Slaw
